What "retro RPG" style of game does it harkin back to??? What RPG has came out in the last 20 years that punished you severely for not being able to defeat an enemy??? What RPG has came out in the past 20 years that made you take 5 hours to defeat a single boss??? What RPG EVER made you completely restart the entire game for accidently killing the merchant??? Now let me ask you this. What RPG has came out in the past 10 years that was extremely linear??? So many people try to say that Demon Souls and the upcoming Dark souls Harkin back to the "RPG's of Yesteryear".... What RPG's ever did that kind of thing? IGN posted an article today trying to say that Dark Souls will "Eat Skyrim's face".... WHAT THE F*CK IGN!!!??? It's reason are laughably bad too. They state that Skyrim will get DLC and Dark souls wont, Dark Souls is very linear and Skyrim is one of the biggest open world games ever, and they claimed that the dragons in Dark Souls are better than Skyrim. Dark Souls won the fight in IGN's Editor and Cheif Casey Lynch's eyes. Rather than put actually solid points against each other, the article came off as super fanboyism. Sad thing is... I was looking forward to Dark Souls.

I miss IGN's old Editor and Cheif Hilary Goldstein. He didn't let his Bias get in the way of his reviews or previews.
